Respond.js now available in Modernizr

Posted by fg on 06/03/2011

Modernizr 2.0 was released earlier this week, with a great new download builder tool that lets you include only the feature tests you need, and nothing more. Yesterday, Scott’s Respond.js script — which brings CSS3 Media Query support to browsers like Internet Explorer 6-8 — was added as an optional include in the Modernizr download builder.

If you’re using both Modernizr and Respond.js already, you may want to consider downloading them through the Modernizr builder, as the file size will be slightly smaller than including them separately.

Of course, you can still use Respond.js without Modernizr; just grab it here: Respond.js on Github.

<p>Great news guys. I love Modernizr, and I have a plan to fully incorporate it inside my personal site. Now with Respond.js being part of Modernizr download, world is a little more happy place. Thanks.

Let’s support CSS3. Read CSS3 Multi-Column Layout Module and CSS3 Animations and have a look at css animations at My heart beats using latest version of Google Chrome.
